| Coombe Gallery's watercolour
painting courses in Devon, UK are run by the renowned water colour
artist, Paul Riley. Paul Riley's artistic career began at the age
of 15 when the Royal Academy accepted one of his works for their Summer
Exhibition. At that time he was the youngest painter to have work
exhibited at the Academy. Since graduating from Kingston Art School
in 1965 Paul has had many solo and group exhibitions both in the UK
and Europe,and further afield in Kuwait and Australia. As a result
his work is to be found in many private collections worldwide. In
the last 10 years Paul has established himself as one of Britain's
leading watercolourists. Paul teaches his watercolour painting course
both here in Devon, England and abroad, he has also found the time
to write two bestselling instructional books (Flower Painting, Watercolour
Painting), present a TV program and is also a regular contributor
to various leading art publications. Art courses in the UK include:
watercolor painting, pottery, calligraphy, print, printmaking, jewellery,
photography, garden design, ceramics and other crafts.
Our painting tuition courses abroad have included the following countries: Morocco, Venice, Greece and Guatemala. Previous visits include: Venice, Giverny, Gironde, France, Greece, Greek Islands, Skopelos, Zanzibar. When we are not running courses we rent the accomodation barn on a self-catering basis. Coombe Farm Barn is a converted long barn in the Coombe valley just one mile outside the village of Dittisham by the River Dart in South Devon.
